This is a small mug covered in four tropical leaves. The leaves have a kind of ruff texture and the mug is smooth. The mug is made from one big slab and each leaf is its own slab. There is a tiny thin handle on the side just thick enough that it would hold but not to thick. I wanted the handle to be a thickness that wouldn't break off but I still wanted a thin handle. I used a lot of texture because real leaves are not perfectly smooth (some are not all). I was inspired by Mr. Davy Young who is an artist from Singapore. He loved to make his art based around different items in nature. The purpose of this is to hold hot liquids. The leaves part on either side of the mug for comfort while drinking. The handle is slightly tipped so that you can fit your hand in it easier. I believe I was successful creating what I imagined. I changed things along the way to make them better for my liking. I used all of my time wisely and made sure not to waste any. It was way harder to make leaves than I imagined but it all worked out in the end.
